MICHAEL SAXER
CINEMATOGRAPHER
Michael Saxer grew up in the Amazonas, Peru, and lived there until his early teens. He then studied film and history at the University Zurich in Switzerland and worked as production assistant, assistant director, assistant editor, and assistant cameraman. Following his film production studies at the University of the Arts Zurich, he completed the Masterclass in Cinematography at the National Film & Television School PWSTiF in Lodz, Poland.
Saxer has been working as a Director of Photography since 2004. His award-winning credits include, among others, “The Awakening of Motti Wolkenbruch,” directed by Michael Steiner, and “I Am the Keeper,” directed by Sabine Boss.
