TOBIAS KOPPE
CINEMATOGRAPHER
Tobias Koppe was born in Berlin and grew up in a small village in Brandenburg. When he was nineteen years old, the ceiling fell on his head. Unharmed, he quickly moved back to Berlin.
The passion for film has always been there, still awkward but boundless. Constantly he had his camera with him and wanted to capture everything from daily life in pictures. The stories had to get out. He didn't notice any other talents.
Various internships in all positions on set (set manager, camera assistant, lighting technician, stage). Founded a company, was nothing. A new start. The career aspiration of a DoP was formed.
Studied Cinematography at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. At the same time, he worked as a cameraman for various formats such as Circus HalliGalli, Bambule and Schulz in the Box and won his first awards. With increasing confidence, his projects grew into series and commissioned work for television. He successfully completed his master's degree at the Babelsberg Film University.
Since then, Tobias Koppe has been working as a DoP for various formats and is happy to dive into projects together with his partners and create a common language.
