Willy Dettmeyer is a cinematographer. He studied at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg.
His works include the successful “Tatort – Meta,” the feature film “Exit,” which is set in the near-future and the Amazon Original six-part series “Der Greif“ based on the bestseller fantasy novel by Wolfgang Hohlbein.
In 2022, he shot the near-future film "Morin".
Willy Dettmeyer is represented by Patricia Barona.

Willy Dettmeyer's latest work, the two TV movies "Ostfriesenschwur" and "Ostfriesenfluch," produced for ZDF by Schiwago Film and directed by Stefan Lacant, are currently being finalized. A broadcast date has not yet been set.

The first season of the six-part series "Der Greif", based on the bestselling fantasy novel by Wolfgang Hohlbein, was produced by W&B Television in collaboration with DogHouse Film and is available on Prime Video. The series was directed by Sebastian Marka and written by Erol Yesilkaya.
