WILLY DETTMEYER
CINEMATOGRAPHER
Willy Dettmeyer is a cinematographer based in Berlin. He studied at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg.
His works include the successful “Tatort – Meta,” the feature film “Exit,” which is set in the near-future and the Amazon Original six-part series “Der Greif“ based on the bestseller fantasy novel by Wolfgang Hohlbein.
In 2022, he shot the near-future film "Morin". In 2022, he shot the near-future film “Morin”, the following year, two films in the in the “Ostfriesenkrimis” series. In 2024, he shot Tatort - Siebenschläfer, directed by Thomas Sieben.
In addition to his work as a DoP, he taught camera students in the master's program at the Film University Konrad Wolf in Potsdam Babelsberg as a visiting professor in 2024/2025.

The Shooting for the “Tatort - Siebenschläfer” in Dresden and Leipzig has been completed.
