DIRECTOR/WRITER
Abini Gold is a Berlin-born writer and director. She studied film at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg after she completed her journalism studies.
Abini’s journalistic curiosity and experience lead her to use filmmaking as a tool to shed light on unseen realities of life. Her first feature film „Zwischen uns die Nacht“ discovers the life as a showman at the funfair. The co-production with ZDF Das kleine Fernsehspiel premiered at the Filmfest München in 2023 and won the Fernsehfilmpreis at the TeleVisionale Baden-Baden.
Abini is currently writing the screenplay for “Pretty Young Lost”, which was funded by Medienboard Berlin Brandenburg and is based on the life of top model Paul Boche. It tells the story of Paul (18), who is discovered as a model in Berlin and throws himself into the glittering, excessive world of the international fashion industry. In his search for himself, he loses control.
Abini is currently writing her second feature film.
