Âni VÕ

DIRECTOR/WRITER

Âni Võ is s a Vietnamese-German writer and director, born and raised in Stuttgart.

She worked on various commercial and film sets in Vietnam and Germany before studying film directing at the HFF Munich. Since then, she has directed, written and produced several short and medium-length films that have been showcased at numerous festivals and won multiple awards.

Her film "Stinkfrucht - Taste of Home" was shortlisted for the Student BAFTA Awards 2023.

In 2022, Âni directed three episodes of the Grimme Award-nominated series "ECHT.” A year later, she worked as a head writer and screenwriter on the ten-part series "ECHT friends," which premiered at Max Ophüls Filmfestival and was released in 2024.

Âni became part of Netflix's Grow Creative Program in 2024 and is currently working on her debut feature film. With a background in social education, her work includes exploring socio-critical topics, including cultural identity and zeitgeist.
