DIRECTOR/WRITER
Martin Schreier is a director and screenwriter. He began making short films at the age of 10. After attending the German Film School in Berlin, he went on to study feature film direction at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. In 2009, he received a scholarship to attend the Hollywood Master Class at UCLA.
In 2010, his student film „The night Father Christmas died“ was nominated for a Student Oscar by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Schreier’s feature film, „Unsere Zeit ist jetzt,” was co-produced by Warner Bros. and made its way to cinemas in 2016.
In 2019, Schreier’s feature film „Traumfabrik,“ about a tragic love affair, was released worldwide. In 2021, he directed „One night off,” the first German feature film for Amazon Prime video, starring Emilio Sakraya.
He is the lead director of the Amazon Original series “Maxton Hall,” based on the award-winning German novel trilogy by Mona Kasten. The series has been available worldwide on Prime Video since May 2024 and recorded "the largest global audience for a non-US title" on Prime Video in its first week. It took first place in the Prime Video charts in over 120 countries.
