DIRECTOR/WRITER
At the age of 11, together with her twin sister Monika, Martina Plura discovered her passion for films, especially horror films. She studied "Media Arts" at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne.
In 2011, she completed a year abroad at the Escuela Internacional de Ciné y Television in Cuba. She studied directing at the Hamburg Media School, where she graduated with a Master of Fine Arts.
Since then, she has ventured into new genres, and in 2021 she directed the motion picture film “Mein Lotta-Leben 2 – Alles Tschaka mit Alpaka!,” which is the second film based on Alice Pantermüller’s bestselling children’s novels of the same name. In 2022, she directed twelve episodes of the series “Last X-Mas” and 2023 the thriller “Unsichtbarer Angreifer."
Plura enjoys shooting abroad, and has particularly strong family ties to Cuba.
