WRITER
Lena Kammermeier grew up in Berlin and studied screenwriting and dramaturgy at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf and the Vienna Film Academy. After graduating, she began writing film and television scripts as well as theater plays, before joining the development department at a major production company. During her time there she worked as a script and story editor on numerous prize winning productions including three seasons of “Ku'damm 56”, “59” and “63”.
In 2020 Lena returned to screenwriting full time when she was hired as head writer on the critically acclaimed legal drama series “Legal Affairs” (rbb/Degeto, licensed by Netflix in 2022).
Lena was also nominated for the 2020 Thomas Strittmatter Screenwriting Prize. Currently, Lena is a writer on multiple projects and works as a consultant for literature scouting and film rights for production companies and literary agents. She is an experienced head-and staff writer, has a keen eye for new literary publications and their viability for the screen, and an insatiable curiosity for people and what makes them tick.
