MARTIN RAUHAUS
WRITER
Martin Rauhaus has written over 70 films for cinema and television since 1990, including feature films such as “Winterreise” with Josef Bierbichler, “Adieu Paris” with Sandrinne Bonnaire and Jessica Schwarz, and “Und wer nimmt den Hund” with Ulrich Tukur and Martina Gedeck.
Rauhaus’ television films include the two-part "Die Luftbrücke", which received Die goldene Kamera for Best Film, "Ein starker Abgang" with Monica Bleibtreu and Bruno Ganz, and "Das Familienfest" with Hannelore Elsner, Lars Eidinger, Günther Maria Halmer, which received the German Television Award for Best Television Film.
His Tatort debut "Murot und Das Prinzip Hoffnung" featured Angela Winkler, Lars Eidinger, and Christian Friedel. His films regularly feature in German film festivals and have received numerous awards.
In 2024, Martin Rauhaus won the Bavarian Film Award for his screenplay for the feature film "Weißt Du noch".
He has worked with directors such as Hans Steinbichler, Lars Kraume, and Rainer Kaufmann, with whom he has a long-standing collaboration. Recently, Rauhaus has also written for theater productions.
Martin Rauhaus is a member of the German Film Academy.
