MARTIN WUTTKE

ACTOR

Martin Wuttke’s film credits include work with Rebecca Horn, Christoph Schlingensief, Oskar Roehler, Volker Schlöndorff, Margarethe von Trotta, Quentin Tarantino, Joe Wright, Tom Tykwer, Anton Corbijn, and Andy & Lana Wachowski. Wuttke has had a longstanding and brilliant collaboration with René Pollesch. He also delivered a masterful portrayal of “Arturo Ui” in Heiner Müller’s legendary production at the Berliner Ensemble theatre in Berlin, running from 1995 through to today.

As “Tatort” detective, he investigated for eight years before continuing his collaboration with Hessischer Rundfunk with “Heute stirbt hier Kainer.” He also appeared in “Gladbeck” by Kilian Riedhof. He has held roles in several TV films with Claudia Garde, most recently “Bonn.” He appeared in the Sky series “Ich und die Anderen” by David Schalko, which screened at the 2021 Berlinale. Martin also received a nomination for the German Film Award for his performance in “Happiness Sucks” by Anca Miruna Lazarescu.

Since 2021, he is a member of the management team of the Volksbühne Berlin.

ZWEIFLERS

Martin Wuttke was shooting for the ARD series “Zweiflers,” directed by Anja Marquardt und Clara Zoë My-Linh von Arnim. The series is produced by Turbokultur.
The TV series received three awards at the Cannes International Series Festival, including Best Series and the High School Award.

Recently, Martin Wuttke was shooting for the ZDF/DR mini series “Cum Ex,” directed by Dustin Loose and produced by X-Filme Creative Pool.
