CINEMATOGRAPHER
Henner Besuch studied cinematography at the German Film and Television Academy (dffb). His works include the feature films “Das Fremde in mir,” which was presented at the Cannes Festival – Semaine de la Critique, and “Songs of Love and Hate,” which was shown in competition at the Locarno International Film Festival. Besuch was nominated for the German Camera Award for the feature film “Scouts of Peace.”
In 2021, Besuch filmed the eight-part satire series “German Genius“, starring Kida Ramadan, and based on Ricky Gervais’s hit series “Extras,” directed by Detlev Buck and Cüneyt Kaya, which has been nominated for the Grimme Award 2024.
One of his latest works, the series "The Billion Dollar Code," based on a true story, received the German Television Award in the category "Best Multi-part Series" in 2022.
In the same year he shot the six part series “Die Quellen des Bösen,” which leads into the abysses of the German-German past and deals with the question of personal guilt. With “Die Quellen des Bösen,” he has been nominated for the German Television Award 2024 in the category Best Camera Fiction.
