WRITER

Sven Poser studied German, history, and politics in Berlin and worked as a journalist and co-editor of a small publishing house called “Das Labor” until the 2000s.

Since 2000, he has been writing screenplays for cinema and television. With Martin Eigler, Sönke Lars Neuwöhner, and Jonas Winner, he founded the label “plotpower,” which focuses on the development of screenplays.

Poser has written numerous films and series for television, including “Solo für Schwarz” with Barbara Rudnik, which he conceived and wrote with Martin Eigler. As a writer and head writer, he was instrumental in the development of the crime series “Letzte Spur Berlin,” which received a Grimme Award nomination for Best Series in 2013.

Poser also created the series “Wolfsland” with Sönke Lars Neuwöhner, and since its creation in 2015 through to today, Poser and Neuwöhner have written the script for every episode.

With the plotpower team, Poser developed ZDF's first miniseries “Morgen hör ich auf,” starring Bastian Pastewka and Susanne Wolff, which received the Golden Camera for Best Series and the Bavarian Television Award for Best Screenplay in 2017.

Sven Poser is a member of the German Film Academy.

DIE CHEFIN - ABRECHNUNG

Sven Poser and Elke Hauck wrote together a new episode of the series ZDF series "Die Chefin". It is produced by Network Movie und directed by Alexander Costea. Shooting took place at the beginning of 2024.

WOLFSLAND

The 15th and 16th episodes “In der Schlinge” and “Schwarzer Spiegel” have been shot in 2023/24. A date of the first broadcast of the two new episodes is not yet known.
The entire series is based on scripts by Sven Poser and Sönke Lars Neuwöhner and is produced by Molina Film for MDR/ARD Degeto.

 

DER ALTE - DER WEG IN DIE FREIHEIT

Sven Poser wrote an episode for the ZDF series "Der Alte" together with Elke Hauck. It was directed by Michael Kreindl and produced by Neue Münchner Fernsehproduktion. The episode is available in the ZDF Mediathek, it was first broadcast in May 2024.

WIE MAN TRÄUME VERKAUFT

Ein Muss für Drehbuchautor*innen: William Goldmans wilde Mischung aus Autobiografie, Hommage ans Kino, Filmbusiness-Kritik und dramaturgischen Exkursen. Selbstbewusst, detailverliebt, hochironisch. Sprichwörtlich wurde Goldmans Urteil über die Kompetenzen von Hollywood-Produzenten: „Nobody knows anything.“ Auch zum Immer-wieder-Lesen bestens geeignet.
